Public School No. 2 is one of Paterson’s oldest surviving public school buildings and an important reminder of the city’s rapid growth during the nineteenth century. Located at the corner of Mill and Passaic Streets<\/strong>, adjacent to the Great Falls Historic District, the school was constructed in 1871<\/strong>, the same year Paterson adopted its new city charter and greatly expanded its public school system.<\/p>\n
